The 5 points of the agreements are:
1.Both countries will continue to use existing mechanisms through General Border Committee, co-chaired by defence ministers of both countries, to resolve border disputes.
2. Reduce military tensions by looking at the possibility of troop withdrawal from the disputed border areas.
3. Discussions on the status of Cambodian migrant workers in Thailand.
4. Discussed about the joint celebration of the 60th anniversary of a diplomatic relation between the two countries, and
5. Discussed about cultural and commercial exchanges, such as the recent Thai Kathen and future royal Kathen to Cambodia.
Mr. Koy Kuong said, other than the above agreements, both leaders had also discussed about organising a Khmer-Thai trade exhibition in Cambodia as well.
On the issue of border dispute in the Preah Vihear surrounding areas, Mr. Koy Kuong said both sides are hopeful that the joint sitting of the Thai parliament will ratify the 3 agreements reached during the Joint Boundary Commission meetings of the foreign ministers from both countries in 2008 and 2009 which require a Thai troop withdrawal from the Preah Vihear surrounding areas.
