Cambodian troops staged a large scale patrol on Khmer-Thai border near Poipet

Troops from 513th Battalion in 51st Division based in Kon Domrei village, Nimit district in Poipet town has on Wednesday initiated a ceremony to stage a large scale military patrol along the Khmer-Thai border to strength their border protection capacity after completing an 8-day military drill.

The ceremony was performed under the auspices of Gen. Chan Sothon, Deputy Commander of Military Region 5, and were attended by governor of Poipet Town, Governor of O'Chrov district, commander of 513th Battalion of 51st Division, Poipet military police as well as law and order police.

The patrol groupss started from Highway 50 and travelled to different directions along the border, such as a group from Ko Domrei travelled to Stung Bot (Post No. 10) Checkpoint. Another group headed to Prey Noup village where Brigade 911 was based. Another group left O'Chrov and headed to Nong Chan and O'Bei Choan where Brigade 503 was based.
