Cambodian Defence Minister Gen. Tea Banh and a delegation of defence officials have left Cambodia on Tuesday for a visit to China to inspect China's military hardware as well as Chinese military technology for Cambodian military procurements.

The delegation, led by Gen. Tea Banh, plans to meet with Chinese defence officials and inspect Chinese military hardware factories, including a helicopter factory.

Gen. Chhum Socheat, spokesman for the Defence Ministry, said before departure that the visit is important for the strengthening of bilateral co-operations between China and Cambodia. "To further strengthening our bilateral relations between the military of both countries. We have sought for modern military technology (from China) which China is a superpower in the Asian region and it has hi-tech in producing consumption goods as well as information technology and military technology. We ought to learn from this superpower", he said.

Meanwhile, a defence official who spoke on condition of anonymity, said Cambodia will receive 50 battle tanks and 40 armoured personnel carriers from an eastern European country in the not too distant future.

Mr. Yim Sovan, the spokesman for the opposition Sam Rainsy Party, has expressed concerns about Cambodia's close relationships with both China and Vietnam. "These relationships have caused the (Cambodian) people to be concerned. We must be very, very careful about these relationships", he said.

Prof. Sok Touch, rector of Khemarak University, said the China-Cambodia relations are mutually beneficial to both countries. "Cambodia can receive modern technology for forging a close relationship with China which China has been using already, and China also wants to spread its sphere of influences to Cambodia", he said.

In June, China had provided Cambodia with 257 military trucks and other military equipment worth about 100 million yuans ($16 million) after the U.S withdrew its military aid to Cambodia in protests against Cambodia's decision to deport 20 Uighur asylum-seekers back to China in December 2009.

What most people do not know about is that Tea Banh is not Khmer. He is Vietnamese. He was Vietcong for all his life. He was appointed to be CAF by Hanoi in 1979 to control Cambodia. He is Hanoi's powerful man in Cambodia.

You have to remember that all top figures of what is now called CPP were Hanoi hand-picked ministers. They all were uneducated ones such as Hun sen; Heng Samrin ; Chea Sim and so on. Did you know that Hun Sen did not even know what UN was for, when he appointed to be minister of foreign affair. He was about 27 years old. What does it tell you about Hanoi intention?

Cambodia is now totally run by Hanoi politically and economically. Please be aware of this politics.

Do not sleep in the nest that created by giant cobra Hanoi. You will never wake up again and our young children will never have land to call a Khmer country again. It is just like our Khmer brothers in Kampuchea Krom are facing now. They are refugees and prisoners in her own country.

Hanoi is now advancing its programming of Vietnamization in Cambodia. There are 6 millions of their new seeds are now planted and take roots in our land with first class protection.

In the same time where millions of young Khmer generation are living in poverty or forcing out of her own country by poverty or lack of farmlands. This because, Hun Sen have sold Thousand of hectares of farmlands for 99 years to Hanoi,so that they can bring more Viet to come to colonise our country.

Hanoi had been incharge of Cambodia since they had an opportunity in 1979 with the invasion of Cambodia. Rumor was, during that time, Hanoi secretly took 10,000(an estimated numbers) young Khmer orphans about 5-12 years old to be educated in Hanoi; another word, to be brainwashed to become Youn. At this time they are between 30's to early 40's. Hanoi will or had released them into Cambodia so to blend in with the populations. They look Khmer, but their loyalty is Hanoi. They are the agents of Hanoi. Some of these agents hold top government position. Do we realize the unusual level of friendliness
between Hanoi and Phnom Penh? Now that Cambodia has
6 millions Vietnamese, we all should be very fearful that
one day, these 6 millions Vietnamese will rebel and
Cambodia might face another civil war. Those 6 millions
Vietnamese are Hanoi's Trojan Horses waiting to be
releases to wreck havoc in Cambodia. This may sounds wild and farfetch but we as Khmer or supporters of Khmer
cause must understand this eminent threat from Vietnam.
As much as we concern for the worst, we should also try to look at positive side for Cambodia's future. We hope Hun Sen is being wise with his future and Cambodia after proven his never ending loyalty for Hanoi. At the same time, his ties with China is also ever increasing. We hope that in order for Hun Sen to free Cambodia from Hanoi's grip, Cambodia must be a strong nation itself. Cambodia must be economically and militarily strong and China seems to be very eager to see Cambodia heading that direction. Aside from Korea, China plays a huge role in Cambodia progress. Hun Sen loyalty toward Hanoi may brought him power but not much as far as his popularity and progress of Cambodia. So a bigger, stronger, and
richer China is a perfect choice. Cambodia is relying on China to assist her with economy and military, it is a major concern for Hanoi. With this latest order of China's military hardwares for Cambodian arm forces, Hanoi is stepping up who is the boss of Cambodia with their constant present of government officials, even the Vietnamese prime minister himself. Nevertheless, we should hope that there is a shift of influence in Cambodia and we hope it's not another shov -down-the-throat by Hanoi, Vietnam.

I wonder how much they will cost our budget. However, with an ongoing dispute with Thailand I think it is not a bad idea to equip our military with modern weapons. T-55 tanks are very good battle tanks. In the old days, the 70s and 80s, they were thought to be much more effective than the American tanks at that time. Now, I believe they are being updated with modern technology and become even more effective on the battlefields.
