A second Chroy Changvar Bridge a cross the Mekong River leading to Kampong Cham province will be constructed in November near the old Chroy Changvar (Cambodia-Japan Friendship) Bridge (pictured), reports everyday.com.
Mr. Lim Sidenin, Secretary of State of Ministry of Public Works, said the new Chroy Changvar Bridge will be constructed by a Chinese company.
Mr. Sidenin said the construction works will involve the enlargement of 45 kilometres of National Highway No. 6. He said the Phnom Penh City Hall will be responsible for 4 kilometres enlargement of the highway in the city, while China's Shanghai company will enlarge the other 40 kilometres of the highway leading to the eastern provinces.
