The opposition Sam Rainsy Party (SRP) has welcomed the Malaysian Prime Minister's visit to Cambodia, saying that the visit will help strengthen ties and economic cooperation between the two countries, reports Deum Ampil.
Speaking to Deum Ampil on Sunday, Mrs Mu Sochua (pictured), Deputy Secretary General of the SRP, said the Malaysian Prime Minister's visit will also help strengthen regional cooperation.
The Malaysian Prime Minister, Mr. Najib Abdul Razak, accompanied by his wife and Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Anifah Aman, has arrived at Pochentong Airport at 7pm on Sunday. During his 3-day official visit he will hold meetings with Prime Minister Hun Sen, Chairman of the Cambodian National Assembly Heng Samrin and Senate President Chea Sim. He will also had an audience with His Majesty King Sihamoni. On Monday he is scheduled to sign a series of investment and economic agreements worth more than one billion dollars.
