A government official said that Prime Minister Hun Sen will make a second trip to Preah Vihear province on 12th of May to inaugurate a newly-constructed $2.5 million town hall building in the provincial town of Tbeng Meanchey, reports Deum Ampil.
A senior Preah Vihear provincial official told Deum Ampil that the 4-storey town hall building is 15m by 67m and was constructed on 42,731m2 of land at the cost of 10.2 billion riels ($2.5 million).
Prime Minister Hun Sen had made his controversial first trip to visit border troops in early February in which he had made very highly inflammatory and offensive remarks about Thai Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva when Thai troops prevented him from visiting the Cambodian temple of Ta Moan Thom.
Political observers said this trip will not generate any controversy as his previous trip as it is only a trip to inaugurate a provincial town hall building which is located nearly a kilometres from the disputed border areas.
