Cambodia's garment exports have increased by 7.29% in the first quarter of 2010 compared to the same period last year, according to everyday.com's quote of Phnom Penh Post's report.
The above figures show that the first three months of 2010 Cambodia exported garments to European markets worth $603 compared to $562 in the first three months of 2009. The figures also show that March exports increased by only 0.70% to $178.25 compared to $177.01 in the same period of last year.
Mr. Kong Putheara, director of Statistics Department of Commerce Ministry, told Phnom Penh Post on Sunday that the improved export figures is an indication of a positive sign for Cambodia's future garment exports.
