Unjust attacks on Raymond Kin from Khmerlive.tv

Saturday, April 24th, 2010

Dear KI,

In reference to the subject article posted at your site on Friday, April 23rd, 2010, I am disappointed to read all the negative comments and unjust accusations toward Raymond Kin. It is very troubling to see that rumours and speculations, no matter how improbable they are, have become an acceptable basis of our judgements, and in many circumstances, they carry more weights than the actual facts do in the matter of our public opinion.

For the benefits of those who don’t know Raymond Kin, his parents Mr. and Mrs. Kin came to and got married in Canada during the 1970’s. Evidently, Raymond was born, raised and educated in Montreal, Canada. He recently graduated with a bachelor degree in Computer Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal.

Despite having lived his entire life in Canada, Raymond Kin takes keen interests in promoting our Khmer heritage and culture. The online KhmerLive TV is his prime achievement and commitment to keep Khmers around the globe connected with each others.

At present, it is rare to see a young and successful professional Cambodian abroad committing this level of efforts and interests to Cambodia affairs. It is our duty and responsibility to encourage our younger generation, like Raymond Kin, everywhere at home and abroad, to get involved in our national affairs. They are our strength and our only hope to carry the torch for our nation to the future.

Yours truly,

Davan Long,

Dear KI-Media and Khmerization,

Right after seeing Bang Davan Long's letter in my email as I was cc, I replied to you not to publish the letter right away, as there are so many confusion and wrong information about my background and career information.

For the respect of the truth and myself, I ask you to delete this post and ask Bang Davan to rewrite it with the correct information.

Best Regards,
Raymond Kin
