Cambodian troops stationed along the border frontlines near Preah Vihear temple have been ordered to be on high alert after Thailand had sent extra troops to the areas in response to Cambodia's test fires of 200 rounds of BM-21 rockets in Kampong Chhnang on Thursday 4th March, reports Koh Santepheap.
Koh Santepheap reported that hundreds of Thai paramilitary and border guards had been deployed along the border frontlines from the Emerald Triangle in Teuk Krohorm commune, Choam Ksan district in Preah Vihear province stretching all the way to Preah Prolay commune, Tropeang Prasat district in Oddar Meanchey province at the same time as when Cambodia was test firing 200 rounds of BM-21 rockets more than 500 kilometres away in Kampomng Chhnang province.
Cambodian military sources said that the reinforcements of Thai troops to the areas have alarmed the Cambodian military that it ordered its frontlines troops to be on high alert.
However, Thai military sources said that the troop reinforcements are deployed to prevent the red-shirt protesters from staging any protests, especially along the Khmer-Thai borders at Preah Vihear temple.

I don't know why the Thai are so freak out about this. What Cambodia doing is not any thing unusual than any other sovereign nation in the world is doing. Cambodia has every right to conduct her military exercise, whether firing off some AK-47 rounds or shooting off some BM-21 rockets. Thailand shouldn't see this as a threat. After all, what does Thailand has to fear of Cambodia. Cambodia is just a puny country that is barely walk up right, let alone, a threat to Thailand? Come on Thailand.
Anyhow, I would like to see Cambodia test some SAM(Surface-to-Air-Missiles). Heck..if that is the case, Thailand might wet its pants in paranoia.
Thailand is nervous but also wants to show its military muscle as well with the troop build-up. Cambodia now should acquire American or Russian jet fighters as well.
What are you talking about. Thai have occupied our land for nearly 2years so far. And you all still dancing outside the ring.
Give me land back or give me death.
