A group of Thai yellow-shirted protesters on 8th February have crossed into Cambodian territory and uprooted one border marker planted by the Cambodian-Thai border authority which they accused of planting inside Thai territory, reports Deum Ampil.
The border marker, located at Ta Moan Toch temple in Banteay Ampil in Oddar Meanchey province, was planted by a Cambodian-Thai border taskforce in a preliminary border demarcation work for the planting of the permanent border markers in the areas.
According to the reports, the action of the Thai yellow-shirted protesters was to prevent Prime Minister Hun Sen from visiting Ta Moan Thom temple which was scheduled to take place on the same day, but was eventually cancelled due military confrontations in the area.
