The military situations had deteriorated in the last few days at Veal Entry, 3 kilometres from Preah Vihear temple, due to Thailand's provocative reinforcements of troops to the areas, reports Deum Ampil.
Deum Ampil reported that a Cambodian military source said at 9:15pm on Wednesday night (10th February) that they would know by the next morning if the Thai side will launch an attack to occupy the 4.6 squared kilometres of lands it deemed disputed.
Everyday.com reports that a Cambodian military source claimed that Thai troops from Military Region 2 and Military Region 4 had declared that they are preparing to auanch an attack to capture the 4.6sq. kilometres of lands because they said it is Thai territory according to Thai unilaterally-drawn maps.
The same source said that the previous day (9th Feb.), they saw and heard many military trucks and tanks had been moved in and out of the Veal Entry and Sombok Khmum areas, opposite Preah Vihear temple, that they suspected that the Thai side are trucking in more soldiers and weapons to the areas. They Cambodian source said he suspected that the Thai side is preparing to launch a large scale attack to capture the 4.6sq. kilometres they always claimed.
Gen. Srey Doek, Cambodian commander for the Preah Vihear operations, recently said clashes are unavoidable because they Thai side is trying to move deeper into Cambodian territory.
At 7 pm Wednesday night, Deum Ampil reports that the Thai military had provocatively reinforced more troops to Veal Entry and Ta Moan Thom temple in Oddar Meanchey province also.
Mr. Proum Chheang, Deputy Commander of the Veal Entry front line, said he saw 6-7 truckloads of Thai troops had been trucked in to Veal Entry areas. Gen. Neak Vong, commander of Ta Moan Thom temple area, said the situations there had worsened because more Thai troops had been provocatively sent to the area, but said that as at 8 pm last night there is no armed eruption yet. A Cambodian military source earlier claimed that 7000-8000 fresh Thai troops had been sent to the areas opposite Preah Vihear temple.
There are reports that the Thai military will stage a military drill in the areas near Preah Vihear temple today (Thursday 11th). Last year, Thai military staged a military drill in the areas in which 3 artillery shells were fired into Cambodian territory. The Thai side at the time said that the shells were misfired. Prime Minister Hun sen said sarcastically said that misfiring can only happen once, it cannot happen three times.

The Thai are too busy with Khmer while south Thailand were being taken by malaysia
If the reports here are true, it means the Thais are preparing to take the 4.6sq. kilometers of lands by force. If the Thais keep bullying Cambodia and Cambodian troops the way they did, I think large scale armed clash could erupt any time. Cambodian and political leaders and troops must do everything to protect and defend Cambodian sovereignty and territorial integrity at all cost.
