Cambodian and Thai troops clashed twice at the 4.6sq. kilometres "disputed lands". Here the 1908 map and map from the 1962 International Court of Justice's verdict show that the areas lie within Cambodia's sovreignty. Yellow line is boundary- and red spots are sites of clashes 15th October, 2008 (Thailand top of yellow line and Cambodia at the bottom).

A Cambodian military commander said armed clashes with Thai troops is unavoidable if Thai troops attempt to occupy the 4.6 sq. kilometres of Cambodian lands at Veal Entry, reports Radio Free Asia.
Gen. Srey Doek, commander of the Preah Vihear areas, said on 9th February that the situations at Veal Entry, about 3 kilometres northwest of Preah Vihear temple, remain calm but said that Thai military trucks are busy entering and leaving the areas opposite the Veal Entry area. Deum Ampil reported that, according to an unnamed Cambodian military officer, Thailand had reinforced its troops numbers to between 7000-8000 in the areas.
Gen. Srey Doek said whether armed clashes can be avoided or not depends on the Thai side. "The situations remain as normal, but we heard too many trucks entering and leaving the areas but we don't know what they are doing. I want to say in short that whether armed clashes can be avoided or not depends on the Thai side. If they don't encroach and the situations remain like today, there won't be any problems. But if they implement Mr. Abhisit's ideas, war will break out. We don't care about anything. We only care that we won't encroach on anyone's lands, even one milimetre and we won't allow anyone to encroach on our lands even one milimetre", he said.
The warning from the Cambodian commander came after the Bangkok Post quoted Thai PM Abhisit Vejjajiva as saying that Thailand will never give up and will try to claim the 4.6sq. kilometres of "disputed lands" at Preah Vihear which Thailand said lies inside Thai territory.
Cambodia said the area is situated well within Cambodian territory in accordance with the internationally-recognised 1907 Franco-Siamese Treaty and 1908 maps signed between the two countries.

The Siems government is testing and bullying Cambodian territory right now by sending its troops to intimidate the Cambodian sovereignty.
We Khmer should teach them a lession to let them know what war is like. Stop letting the Siem bullying at us.
My blood is boiling to fight and die for my nation and coutry, but i like to advice the CPP to take this case to the UN. Let's Thai loose its reputation on the international erena first and the world also would support Cambodia, without any doubt if the war is broke out.
Khmers have survised for thousand of years because khmers is born with warior blood and spirit. To die to defend your country is the noble act for every Khmer to commit.
True Khmer
The Thai lies don't add up. They said Ta Moan Thom temple, Preah Vihear areas are Thai territories but according to 1908 map, signed and accepted by Thai kings, show that those areas are located well within Cambodian territories.
If Thailand has a good legal case, why did Thailand refuse to take the dispute to international court when Cambodia proposed this ideas in around August 2008? It is because Thailand knows it will lose because it is the invader.
