Mr. Sam Rainsy (pictured) told Radio Free Asia from France, where he is staying, that he will not appear in Svay Rieng Court after it issued a summon on 16th December.
Mr. Sam Rainsy was summoned to appear in person to answer charges of "sabotage" of public property and racial discrimination, stemming from his act of uprooting six wooden border poles on 25th October. "I will think about it first because that court is only following the order of the current ruling party and that current ruling party has no any aims other than to silence the voice and restrict the rights of any patriots who dare to oppose the sell out of Khmer territories to foreigners", Rainsy said.
However, Mr. Rainsy's lawyer, Mr. Choung Chou-Ngy, said he will go to court to represent Mr. Rainsy even if Mr. Rainsy did not appear in person.
Mr. Chan Soveth, human rights investigator for Adhoc, said this is more of a political issue rather than a legal issue that should be resolved through discussions rather than legal actions.

2:32 AM, are saying that Hun Sen is the tiger in your story? Everyone knows that Hun Sen cannot last forever, he will die one day or face uprising against him one day.
Hun Sen needs only to see the fate of other dictators like Saddam Hussein and so on to predict his own fate.
Back to Rainsy's case. It is true that the present court is a political tool of the ruling party to persecute and oppress its critics and other Khmer patriots. There won't be any justice for Rainsy.
In hindsight, Mr. Rainsy should not have run away from Cambodia in the first place. He should just remain in Cambodia and come to the worst he seek asylum in the U.S embassy. Now look like he can't come back to Cambodia for a very, very long time, unless he is prepared to face Hun Sen's kangaroo court.

In this case of Sam Rainsy,I fell sorry for him, in our country Cambodia beloved, Khmer poor people have no right to say or to take care his own land,why ?
