Assistant to Mr. Cheam Yeap, MP from the ruling Cambodian People's Party for Prey Veng constituency and chairman of the 5th parliamentary committee, has been attacked by a drunken driver after a minor traffic accident and was reportedly to have facial injuries, reports Deum Ampil.
The incident took place at midday Tuesday 1st December in front of Wat Mohamontrey pagoda in Phnom Penh when a drunken driver riding a motorbike and rear-ended the motorbike of Mr. Cheam Yeap's assistant. The drunken driver got off his motorbike and, without saying a word, punched the face of the unnamed advisor of Mr. Cheam Yeap, causing a bleeding nose.
The culprit has been temporarily detained at the police station and at the time of this article going to press, he is still drunk.

Cheam Yeap always look drunk. May be he is a drunkard and become drunk all the time while attending parliamentary sessions.
