Two Cambodian fishermen killed by Thai soldiers in Koh Kong

By Khmerization

A Deum Ampil newspaper reporter reported from Koh Kong that two Cambodian fishermen had been shot dead by Thai soldiers in Koh Kong territorial waters.

The reporter said the two Cambodian fishermen were shot dead on the morning of Tuesday 24th November while fishing in Koh Kong (Cambodian) waters. The report has not been confirmed by any other sources or by the Koh Kong officials.

The alleged killing of the Cambodia fishermen came at a time when there are reports that thousands of Thai fishermen and 1,000 Thai trawlers had their fishing licences cancelled and had been banned from fishing in Cambodian waters.

The latest reports said that 4 Thai trawlers had been seized for illegally fishing in Cambodian waters.
