Thai spy's case to be heard in court on 8th December

The espionage case against a Thai engineer, Siwarak Chotipong (pictured), who was accused fo stealing Mr. Thaksin's and Prime Minister Hun Sen's flight schedule, will be heard on 8th December in the Phnom Penh Court, reports everyday.com.

Mr. Kao Soupha, lawyer for Siwarak, said despite the hearing date had been set, he still apply for bail for his client. He said he had lodged a bail application on Monday 23rd November and the bail hearing is expected to be heard in 10 days.

Mr. Kao Soupha said he had visited his client in Preysor Prison on Monday and was told by his client that he was detained in a single room with other six prisoners. The lawyer said he is concerned that the crowded conditions could trigger his client's asthma attack.
