Mrs. Mu Sochua (pictured), MP from the Sam Rainsy Party (SRP), said on 3oth May that she will attend the court hearing as summoned bt the court, reports Radio Free Asia.

Mrs. Mu Sochua had sued Prime Minister Hun Sen for defamation and has in turn been counter-sued by Mr. Hun Sen for the same reason.

The judge has summoned her to appear before the Phnom Penh court on the 10th of June.

Mrs. Mu Sochua said she will not shun away from the court's hearing by saying: "I have sufficient evidence which indicated that Samdech's (Hun Sen) speech referred to me."

In a speech in Kampot ion 5th April 2009, Mr. Hun Sen called her a "cheung klang" (strong leg) and accused her of lunging at someone and accused that person of unbuttoning her blouse. She said Mr. Hun Sen's speech is very offensive towards her.

After she sued Mr. Hun Sen, he lodged a counter-suit and threatened to lift her parliamentary immunity, a move that drew heavy criticism from international and welll as local human right groups.
