In the past few days, a defamatory text message written in English has been maliciously sent from one mobile to another, especially to the mobile phones of journalists, accusing TV presenter and actress Kol Davy (pictured) of stealing someone’s husband, reports Deum Ampil newspaper.
The text message accused Miss Kol Davy of having an affair with too many men and milking men of their money. It also mentioned that Miss Kol Davy had contracted an incurable disease.
The message sent to a Deum Ampil journalist’s mobile phone mentioned that a woman known as Linda has accused Miss Kol Davy of continuing to have an affair with her husband, even after being warned repeatedly by her.
The message appeals to Mr. Ieng Sithuol, president of the Artists Association, and Mr. Soy Sopheap, CTN anchorman and publisher of Deum Ampil, to help publicise the text message.
Miss Kol Davy, in a telephone interview with Deum Ampil, said that she is very hurt by the vexatious message and asked the accuser to come forward with evidence of her scandals. She said that the person who wrote the message is probably the same person who had conspired to publish her supposed-scandals twice in two magazines in the past few months, said Deum Ampil.
In the past few months, a woman known only as Linda had claimed in two magazine publications that Miss Kol Davy had stolen her husband from her. The magazine failed to reveal her real identity as well as the identity of her husband whom she claimed of having an affair with Miss Kol Davy, reports Deum Ampil.
Deum Ampil had called the telephone numbers recorded with the message, but the woman who answered the calls said she just got this new number recently when she bought her new phone. On other times she said that she just passed on the message sent to her by someone else. Calls to two other phone numbers were ignored or the phones were just simply turned off.

The magazines should hear both sides of the story and substantiate their claims before publishing the story. To just take one side of the story is unfair, unethical, unprofessional and violate journalistic code of practice. After all, the vilified party (the actresses) will be defamed and scared for life if what were published turned out to be untrue.
This article shouldn't publish in Khmerization site.
The story doesn't give any benefits to the readers; but only Kdor & Kdieth of the corrupt regome.
Well, I enjoy reading it because its news.
