A long business feud between a Cambodian cafe owner and a Vietnamese cafe owner in the Kratie provincial town had led to a physical fighting, which resembled a scene from the Chinese kungfu movie, that have caused injuries to both sides.

The two ladies, who owned cafe shops next to each other, have a long history of feud in relations to client-poaching and business rivalry which led to a physical fight involving knives and other weapons.

The physical fighting broke at 2 pm on 25th March 2009, when a car belonging to the client of the Vietnamese cafe owner, the 27 year-old Phuong Thi Pruong, blocked the driveway of a client belonging to the Cambodian cafe owner, the 51 year-old Nuon Sokheang.

Witnesses said that when Nuon Sokheang went to ask Phuong Thi Pruong to request that her client move his/her car out, a heated verbal exchange ensued and the fight broke out, involving all members of the opposite families using all sorts of weapons.

Witnesses said that they saw both sides chasing and attacked each other with knives, bottles, chairs and other weapons.

By the time the police arrived, both sides had received cuts and wounds to their backs and heads. The Vietnamese cafe owner, 27 year-old Phuong Thi Pruong, had a broken head by the power of a bottle applied in a kung-fu style by 51 year-old Nuon Sokheang, while Nuon Sokheang herself suffered cuts to her back and left arm by the power of Phuong Thi Pruong's sword applied in a ninja style.

The two nemesis had been admitted to the same provincial hospital, sleeping side by side in the beds next to each other.
