According to sources, at least 100 police majors, colonels and brigadier-generals are nominated to be appointed as colonels, brigadier-generals and major-generals.
The sources said that 20 brigadier-generals will be appointed as major-generals, 42 colonels will be appointed as brigadier-generals and 34 majors will be appointed as colonels.
The list of the promotions had already been prepared awaiting for a sub-decree and a royal decree to be officially signed.
Two former police officials, Mr. Ney Chary and Mr. Tham San, who have resigned from the police force to take up positions of deputy governors of Kandal and Koh Kong respectively, will be appointed as brigadier-general and major-general respectively.

Plenty of issues to worry about, but instead Mr. Hun Sen is worry about making sure his boys get all the plum jobs. Soon, the stars will be shining everywhere all over Cambodia. It seems that, in Cambodia under Hun Sen, there are more generals than the soldiers.
