The United States of Kambujadesa?

Dear Readers,

After the article about Thai soldiers laying barbed wires inside Cambodian territories was posted in this blog, one reader has offered his advice of solutions in order to avoid future Khmer-Thai conflict with some very interesting proposals. Below are his proposals. Please have a read and tell us what you think. Thanks - Khmerization

To avoid the conflict between Cambdia and Thailand, let me leave some crazy comments.

1. The main reason of the conflict is from the ancient temple which was built by ancestors of both, Khmer in Cambodia and Khmer blood/Thai nationality people of Thailand.

2. We learned from the Khmer History that the territory of Thailand was part of ancient Khmer empire for many centuries evidenced from temples and Khmer communities that scattered all over Thailand until today.
Thai history of Sukhothai and Ayuddhaya period also affirmed and support of this connection.

3. Khmer and Thai have quite a similar culture which sometimes and some kinds difficult to differentiate from each other. This is because of great and great grandparents of most of today Thai people were Khmers.

4. So, Thailand and Cambodai should be integrated together. Then the question is How about language (both writing and speaking) and culture and custom?

5. As mentioned in number 3, culture and custom is quite similar among Thai and Khmer. It should be easily to be integrated. The rest is Language?
Inscriptions and other religious archives in Cambodia and Thailand are written in Khmer and in Pali using Khmer alphabets. It should be easy for Thai people to adopt Khmer language in both speaking and writing as it used to be a language of their ancestors as well.

6. The name of the country should be selected among:
- Angkor empire,
- Kambujadesa,
- Khmer-Thai union etc.

It is weird indeed, but it makes people think to try to analyse your ideas further. If it can be done, this idea is great. But, in reality it is impossible for the fact that Thailand and the Thai people will never surrender their language to Khmer because the Thai, since the birth of their nation, always think that anything Khmer is inferior to theirs.

Great ideas but impractical. Thai people will never accept to be under Khmers.

I don't think we (Thais and Cambodians) could do that. Thais viewed us differently from them. They thought they are more civilized than us. They're mostly proud of themselves. If we propose this ideas to Thai. Thais will ask us to follow them (use their langauge).
If these two countries merged into each other, there was a chance for Thais to eliminate khmer language and culture more easily and promoted what they thought more civilized.
Another reason is that Thai's population is more than us.

Do you want our people to be as Native Indians or ethnics?
I really like the integration, but Thai might not show their good willing for us.

Integrated?
Oh My God, Did you remember?
One thing!
During Khmer Rouge's regime, Does any thai help Cambodians?--No, but the benefit-taking guys like vietnamese do...
Thais want us to die all, and then they can get our territory more easily..
Remember?
When the UN rent Thai's land for the refugees from Cambodia during 1980-1990, They not even helped us, but they raped and hit our people.
Thais could do good for all other people, but not for Khmer.
You know why?
Coz, they want to avoid the truth..
avoid of what they thought we are the original, and they are the second (culture)..
anyway, I want too, but it's hard for two different people. One is the honest one, the second is the liar or betrayal.

It's fun..Cambodian could bring our ancestor's advices that said,

1. Chinese never leave their strategies.
(this person, is the cold blood person, but put pressure on other people, taking benefit as they can, but not too much cheat)

2. Vienameses never leave their liar
(this person, cheat until they die.)
3. Thais never leave their pride( to be a rich country in asia, to be a dragon, to be what ever that thought they are the top, we are the lower.)

For the third, it shows that Thais could not live under Khmer..

Dear Anomymouns,
First, thank to Khmerization for posted my proposals for the solving of Khmer Thai conflict problem on the web site.

I am glad to receive 5 comments from the readers (on Feb 26/09)on the proposals.

I agree with you all about the feeling of Khmers and Thais people.

Thais always think they are more cilized than Khmer, they shoud be on the top of the other, they always proud of their glories at present.

Khmers always think they are an indigenous nation in the region and was glorious in the past.

These are the nature of human being. But it is not all of them have the same feeling. If you put yourself in the shoe of Khmers or Thais you will feel the same thing.

Don't you know? History can be created by men in a specific period. Several historical even happened in the same land of present day Thailand and Cambodia.
At first the Indianization of Funan. Do you think Founan would smoothly accepted the Indian influence? Then the up coming of Chenla. We have to appreciate the royal efforts of King Jayavarman II in united the kingdom. We also have to appreciate the royal sacrifice of king Javarman VII who sacrificed his lovely daughter, Sikharadevi, to merry with a rival chief at Sukhothai, Pha Meung,to exchange with his kingdom's security at the late of Angkorian period etc.

However, thanks to your all comments and I can conclude, through your comments, that first thing to do, in order to intergrate Thailand with Cambodia, is people feelling and understanding of each oher.
Anyway, I need some comments from Thais people as well.
If you have further suggestions and comment please sent to me at

Again, thank to Khmerization.
