Khmerization;
Just posted a blog "A too many play safe game".

Once again this is my personal viwe based on one particular scenario "To take oath on 25 September 2008, the day after the new National Assembly opening session" - letter to HRH King Norodom Sihamoni.

here below the last 3 paragraphs of the blog.

By stepping their opposition to the results of this year's election is to show their supporters and followers, as well as Cambodia people; that SRP and HRP are deadly serious about any type of engineered manipulation for a landslide victory. This [action], of course; is indeed a good deed and in line with democratic principle.

By accepting to take oath on 25 September 2008, the day after the new National Assembly opening session, is said so far to recognize the election results however party is chosen to keep to themselves and not wanting to disclose to theirs from followers and supporters. This [action] is nothing more than the party psychological and egoist game in getting the followers and supporters rally behind the party for now and hope that soon enough people will forget about it.

Word best describe for this particular scenario

"What SRP & HRP Talk In Public and Do Behind The Closed Door Is Two Completely Different Affairs".

Appreciate your personal opinion and comment, please drop by and have a read.

khmerization;
Thank you for dropping by and comenting on "A Too Many Play Safe Game".

Below is my reply to your comment.

You may say that SRP & HRP plan to swear in on 25 September is a symbolic protest of the electoral fraud or result but this action is inappropriate and it shall not be on the expenses of their supporters.

Failure to disclose their real intention [will be in new parliament] to their supporters is to betray, ignore and indifferent to the will of million plus who wmpowered them through ballot papers and that is not really a good gesture.

If this is the case and the real attiude of SRP and HRP towards their supporters then in elction[s] to come SRP & HRP will definitely run aground.

People these days are wiser and will soon enough see through the real side of SRP and HRP if they kept on acting and behaving that what they talk in public and do behind the close door is 2 different affairs and none of their supporters concern.

Play safe game here is to pinpoint to the SRP and HRP's double standard.

One hand SRP & HRP took the fight to the international community in high on that they will do something about it.

On the other hand SRP knew in his heart what's to expect from this dead-lock and what's the consequences are then he wrote to HRH King Sihamoni, just in case that their crusade in Europe and USA failed to have any impact, so he and members elect will accept the result and will be in the thick in the new national assembly.

Cambodia used to have co-premier, don't it come accross your mind that 24 and 25 September swearing in could be heading that same way as well in order to avoid constitutional crisis after the scheduled date.

It's true that 120 members needed for the 1st session of the parliament.

3rd mandate parliament will be dissolved when 4th mandate will be swearing in, therefore 90 + 2 +2 at the 1st session is not a quorum however, parliament could be dissolved at that time, with SRP's letter to HRH has indicated that 26 + 3 will be swearing in on 25 September under a special circumstance and it is acceptable to HRH and majority then it could constistue as legal quorum.

Article 18- [constitution]
The King shall communicate with the Assembly by royal messages. These royal messages shall not be subjected to discussion by the National Assembly.

Khmerization; just have a read on the above article and have a serious thought about that

Thanks once again.
