But in Buddhism belief there should be no compassion due to karma in action or effects? But Buddhism is big on compassion. If earning merits through compassion is a must, then karma has no effect of wrong actions by the person who is going through their karma cycle?
How about saying, "Where there is no judgment there is no mercy?"
When judgment was dole out on Cambodia, mercy was also shown that Pol Pot cold only go so far without making Cambodia a wasteland without inhabitants again. O the Vietnamese would have been very happy to occupy the empty places.
