1,806 garment, footwear workers in Cambodia faint in workplace in 2015
PHNOM PENH, Jan. 12 (Xinhua) -- The number of workers who fainted in garment and footwear factories in Cambodia last year stood at 1,806, the same as in 2014, though the number of factories in which mass fainting incidents occurred declined by 5. 8 percent, a local English newspaper reported on Tuesday.
A report by the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) said that the incidents occurred at 32 factories across the country and that all but 14 of the workers who fainted last year were women.
The main causes were overwork, poor health, poor environment, exposure to chemical substances, and hysteria.
"If we compare the situation of fainting in the year of 2015 to 2014, it is the same figure, but the factories where it happened decreased by 5.8 percent," NSSF spokesman Cheav Bunrith was quoted by the Khmer Times as saying.
"In order to reduce the fainting incidents, employers or directors of the enterprises should make improvements to the main factors (that cause fainting) in their factories," he said.
Garment and footwear industry, the kingdom's largest foreign currency earner, are comprised of nearly 1,100 factories with some 700,000 workers, according to government figures.
The sector exported products worth 3.3 billion U.S. dollars in the first half of 2015, accounting for about 80 percent of the country's total exports.

Here is another possibility, they could be the subjects of experimental nerve gas apply at work place without workers knowledge that they are being used. And what are the long term health effects? death by cancer? I would not be surprised if this also is part of world depopulation program in effect by UN command center.
