PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Siem Reap province, home of world's heritage site Angkor Wat, welcomed over 100,000 visitors including 70,000 national arrivals during the three-day celebration of New Year, according to a tourism official.
During the three-day celebration of New Year from 28-31 December, 2014, some 100,4000 people visited Siem Reap, up 15.20 percent over the same period in 2013, said Ngov Sengkak, head of Siem Reap's Tourism Department.
Siem Reap governor Khoem Bunsong said that the increase in number of visitors was a result of public order, security and public decorations.
