PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Supporters from provinces and in Phnom Penh are rallying on Thursday in front of headquarter of the opposition Cambodia National Rescue Party to protest against the dismissal of Lak Sopheap, a senior CNRP official and personal assistant of Kem Sokha, who accused its leadership of corruption.
The protesters also plan to march to present their petition to foreign embassies.
Lak Sopheap, a member of CNRP's Board of Directors, was fired Tuesday from the party by Disciplinary Committee after she accused leadership of the party of being involved in corruption associated with up to USD 40 millions.
