To poster 1:04 am. Siam attacked Cambodia with a very small areas 4.6 Sq. km. around Prasat Preah Vihear, Prasat Ta Moan Thom, Prasat Ta Krabey. All these areas around ancient Khmer ruins are very small compared to areas Cambodia lost to Vietnam. Even though as Khmer we will not accept any loss, even an 1 inch, of our territories but Vietnam wanted to swallow the whole of Cambodia, not just few sq. km.
1. The Viets wanted all of Cambodia.
2. They had already stolen Kampuchea Krom ( South Vietnam) in 1949 officially,
3. Koh Tral island, Koh Krojork Sess island and more than 15,000 sq. km of sea territories around those islands in 1985, officially under CPP puppet rule.
4. Many Cambodian provinces bordering Vietnam were and are encroached. The Viets had already moved border posts deeper into our territories. Some areas a few hundred meters, some areas up to 7 km inside, officially under the 2005 illegal CPP-Viets border treaty.
5. The Viets continue to interfere in internal affairs of Cambodia government, behind the CPP and out of international eyes. Viets agents are embedded into Cambodia security forces and administrations.
6. Viets ordered the CPP to allow Vietnamese illegal immigration unimpeded into Cambodia
populations, including territorial annexations, to make native Cambodians become
minorities in their own country.
7. Vietnamese helped build, trained and supported the Khmer Rouge up until 1977 when the Khmer Rouge turned their guns on their Viet masters. Hanoi wanted to annex Cambodia after the Lon Nol had govt. fallen and Pol Pot rejected Viet annexation.
8. During the Pol Pot genocides on the Cambodian populations there are a lots of Vietnamese double agents working within the Khmer Rouge ranks. These agents' jobs are to create distrusts among Khmer Rouge ranks and populations. It's a strategies for population extinctions. Then after Pol Pot had done the jobs they rolled in to act as liberators. Vast numbers of Cambodian intellectuals and elites had all perished.
Don't take my words, just spend some times reading history and ask older Khmer folks and they will tell you. The Viets are the crocodiles and the Siamese are the tigers. The lesser of two evils are the Siamese because they are more sympathetic to Khmer people than the Viets. Just look at how the Viet treated Khmer Kampuchea Krom population as compared to how the Siamese treated the Khmer Surin population. Big differences!

Khmer never enjoy peace for more than 20 years. Rigth except under France colonial right. And Siam attack us all time right. Conclusion Siam do not want to see the rise up of our khmer empire again isn't that true. ?. And surin will never ever have chance to claim independent rights. ? Mr Sam raingsy,we hope you to review all lands and islands have been lost by both countries 1-to viet and 2-siamese they're both never stop looting khmer lands for centuries in the past until today and future,but now the world have a justice we have to fight them with the world justice we can fight with them with the force because we're weak but in the future we should build our force to be strong as well as our neighbors so if they want to do any thing they may scare example if we like a sheep around the dogs so they can bite us any time if they want,if we're the same we have teeth to bite back so they may scare.

It's true that our neighbors were involved in Cambodia terrible past and present. We must also face reality that Khmers also responsible for our peoples suffering. Our greeds, selfishness, revengeful, envied, jealousy toward each others that allowed foreigners to use our ignorant destroy each others. Please guard our borders and then start reeducate ourselves, learn how to forgive each others, helps each others, hear our poor and suffering peoples cried for helps. Stop giving these foreigners powers to destroy us. Stop bickering among ourselves.
Don't blame on Vietnamese and Thai people. Our loss and weakness are because of our historical acts, our failure.
Why Israel can survive in Middle East where most nearby countries are threat to its national stability. Look at our nation, and answer the question, everybody.
