1. Each year, 2 million visitors visit Angkor Wat. At 20 dollars a ticket for 1 day, the annual revenue is 40 million US dollars.
2. Each year, the oversea Vietnamese and Filipinos are sending 11 and 20 billion US dollars respectively. The oversea Cambodians should be able to send home 1.6 billion US dollars with fewer people. But Cambodians are only sending home 300 million US dollars.
The missing 1.3 billion US dollars a year in remittance will easily help a lot of problems in Cambodia. It will certainly makes the ticket sale from Angkor Wat looks a lot less significant.
I think you folks are not fixing the real problem: Yourselves.
Do the company pay tax to Cambodian fund. Of course, they do. So what if a Chinese Cambodian won the bid of being operator? Stupid claim
We all know a pure Khmer entrepreneur can't have the skill of doing business effectively. Our economy now is driven by Chinese and Vietnamese. Am I right?
