PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) – Cambodia-Laos Joint Border Committee agreed to fix border poles number 030, and 063 at the border between Cambodia’s Stung Treng and Laos’s Champasak.
The agreement was reached on Thursday during a meeting between the two countries’ border committees in Champasak province, said a source from Preah Vihear province.
The source said the two sides also agree to discover the areas of border marks (number 002, and 030) before officially planting the border marks.
The border marks 030 and 063 have been damaged by natural disaster in the past, the source said.

my cousin who is in the military stationed in stung treng told me that laos as well has been stealing cambodian's land along that ASEAN highway ... and nothing was done by our gov.
I would not be suprise anyway. We had always lived next to three opportunist, dishonesty, expansionist, annexation, greedy, trickery neighbors. Although I believed Laotian are the better neighbors than Vietnamese, Siam.

Khmer can and must talk to our friend Laotian to give it back what rightfully ours. We don't want their territories and neither do they. We must do it in a face saving manners. We are not in a position to fight the Siam and Laotian at the same time.
We must work with Laotian and use international survey experts and UN .S diplomatic, China, U.S to help us to determine our exact border markers locations. Years of Cambodian civil wars and neglected put us in this positions but what ours are ours. What theirs are theirs. WE MUST REGAIN ALL LEGAL TERRITORIES AND NOT GIVE AN INCH. WE MUST USE LEGAL AND NON-VIOLENCE WAYS BUT AT THE SAME TIME WE MUST REBUILD OUR ARMED FORCES CAPABLE OF DEFENDING OUR BORDERS. WE SHOULD NEVER PUT MILITARY CARD OFF THE TABLE.
