Bloomberg Television to broadcast profile of Cambodia

Give our kids a better deal

PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) -- Bloomberg Television, the world's leading business and financial news channel, will broadcast program and profile of Cambodia "i-profile: Cambodia 60 years - More than just a Promise" following a recent celebration of the 60th Independence Anniversary in the country, according to a press release issued by the Bloomberg Television.

The branded television production and broadcasting “i-Profile: Cambodia” which is produced by World Profile Group will include a 30’-minute television program and a series of 2’-minute profiles that will showcase Cambodia and its economy under a new light; the program and the profiles on Cambodia will be broadcasted prime-time hours on Bloomberg Television internationally, while they will also be streamed online through leading social media platforms.

The Bloomberg Television sais the objective of this very ambitious and high-level production and broadcasted series is to promote a greater global awareness about the investment opportunities that Cambodia has to offer, while at the same time providing Bloomberg’s audience of global investors with a deeper understanding of the country’s current investment climate and outlook.

“i-Profile: Cambodia” will showcase Cambodia’s most interesting business and investment opportunities, as well as the leaders in politics and business. Ultimately, through close collaborations with both political and business leaders, we aim to support the country in forging a new global identity or “nation-brand” as Cambodia’s economy emerges competitively under the global investment spotlight, offering huge potential across several sectors.

Cambodia has been one of the fastest-growing economies in the world over the past ten years, experiencing average annual growth of over 8% since 2000. Prospects for 2014 look very promising, with growth driven by the vibrant private sector, the services sector (trade, banking, real estate, construction, etc.), as well as agriculture and industry. In terms of the latter, the export-oriented textiles and garment manufacturers are likely to continue record-strong performances. We aim to support the country in forging a new global identity or “nation-brand”, as Cambodia’s economy emerges under the global investment spotlight.

Through personal interviews with Cambodia’s political and business leadership, Bloomberg’s television audience will gain valuable local insight regarding current and future opportunities. At the same time, the i-Profile series provides Cambodia with a global reach, using Bloomberg Television as a powerful platform from which to communicate directly to potential investors.
