PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) – Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) has responded to the Cambodia National Rescue Party (CNRP) which asked to reform the National Election Committee.
In Thursday’s letter, Bin Chhin, head of CPP’s Joint Committee for Election Reform, said that the framework for future election reform were issues that the Joint Committee has already prepared such as voters’ registration, lists of voters and preparation for creation of law on financing of political parties.
“The CPP agreed to accept the reform of election institution to be included in framework of election reform,” said the letter. [Khmerization: The CPP tries to make its statement as vague as it can be so that it can renege on its agreement in the future and blames it on the wrong interpretation from its critics].
