His Majesty Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, donated US$1 million for the construction of the first ever care center for the elderly in the Kingdom, Dr. Ngy Meng, Director of Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital told local media.
The construction of a four-storey building facility began last week and is expected to complete by the end of 2014, he added.
Located in the compounds of the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital, this building will be the center to provide medical care with free of charge to the elderly people who suffer from high blood pressure, diabetes, strokes, etc., said Dr. Ngy Meng.

this king try to be good instead of did a big mistake in the past,but it still not enough for cambodian lost a lot of lives and land to yuon,sod have to be careful from black to white,that money he might got from cpp to erase from bad to good about he involved with cpp to be win of election and joint to opened parliament without cnrp this the point.

Very sad indeed,the king should spent money to help flood victims that desperately needs to survives.China and Yieknam caused this flood because of the deforestation and dams that released water to killed and destroyed Khmers people,Beijing and Hanoi and Hun sen regime is responsibled for this man made disasters [floods] in srok Khmer.

Where the money come from? As I understand the king's salary is 6.5 million dollars per year,where ordinary Khmer farmer are living in extreme poverty, less than 2 dollars a day.
The king's salary is made of blood and flesh of his ordinary people.
