Phnom Penh, 1 June 2013
Public Announcement
We Chum Mey, Chum Sirath, Bou Meng (president, 1st vice-president, 2nd vice-president, respectively of the victim association Ksaem Ksan) would like to clarify for the national and international media the following:

The Victims Association of Kampuchea Democratic (Ksaem Ksan) is an association that is neutral, independent, and does not serve the interest of a politician or political party.

Ksaem Ksan is an association that was created in order to gather the voices of victims in the Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia to participate in demanding for justice via the law, to contribute to national unity, and to heal the psychological wounds of Khmer Rouge victims.

Therefore, the opinions and views relating to political issues of a member or a committee member of the Ksaem Ksan which have been made are solely the statements of persons in their private capacity, and should not, cannot be attributed to the policy of the Ksaem Ksan Association.

In order for a statement to be considered a policy  of the Ksaem Ksan Association it must be decided by the majority of all Executive Committee
members at a meeting.
On this day, 1 June 2013, the Executive Committee decided that, to be effectively immediately:  Every member of Ksaem Ksan who gives an interview to the media has the duty to inform the media that their statement is a personal view.

I am sure, mr chum Mey will lead a demonstration, he is already in a campaigning mode for the CPP. Mr kem sokha should not underestimate the situation. I think he need to come up with good counter attack strategy and turn thing around to the main policy debate. Or bring mr Sam Rainsy back with him to create a crisis situation and put pressure on government.

Chum Mey is a hypocrite. This world does not ever need this kind of person. It is better to live without him anyway. What has he done for the world anyway? I mean Chum Mey chooses to go against the very OPINION(s) of Kem Sokha. What Kem Sokha says is based simply on what he chooses to BELIEVES. If anyone goes against his words, then provide the counter argument, and that should be it. To date, the world has not yet known that the Khmer Rouge Hun Sen has ever publicly apologized to the victims that he killed. So how come Chum Mey does not say anything. Why now is Chum Mey seeking to be used by Hun Sen? Therefore, Chum Mey is a hypocrite. According to Chum Mey all Khmer Rouge were bad people, and Hun Sen was a Khmer Rouge, thus Chum Mey needs to ask Hun Sen the killer to apologize for the killings he did against his victims. F*ck Chum Mey.

I think PM Hun Sen has the upper-hand to play this game. All the main media are with him and Chum Mey already issue two separate statements:

http://www.fpmonline.net/article/22778

That means the issue is going against Mr. Kem Sokha rather than the opposite.
