Ly Marina, marriage not that important

PHNOM PENH (The Cambodia Herald) --  Former actress Ly Marina admitted marriage was not as important as getting along with one another.

"At first I thought me and my fiancé had to get married, but now I feel it's not as important because we have been living together and we don’t have much time to get married anyways," she told the latest issue of Angkor Thom magazine.

"I think the most important thing is that we get along with each other and also we have to have a good family."

"Marriage isn't the main thing because everyone gets married and divorced," she added.

Marina is engaged with Sath Chanthorn, a Khmer-American man, in 2011 and after that she abandoned entertainment and went to live in the U.S. with her fiancé.

However, she still the topic of rumors, saying that the engagement was to cover the truth of her affair with a married man. [She was rumoured to be romantically linked to Deputy Commander-in-Chief Gen. Kun Kim].

Marina was furious with the rumor and claimed the scandal is trying the damage her reputation.

She said, she quit the business and hoped to live peacefully with her husband and leave everything about entertainment behind.
