A new island wellness resort is being developed off the coast of Cambodia.
Boutique hotel company, Akaryn Hospitality Management Services (AHMS), has announced plans to open a resort and spa on the island of Koh Krabeay, a 20-minute speedboat ride from the coastal town of Sihanoukville.
Launching in the second quarter of 2015, the Akaryn Koh Krabeay Retreat & Spa will feature a range of health and beauty programmes, including anti-aging treatments, meditation and yoga. Guests at the resort will be accommodated in 40 pool villas, while restaurants will feature healthy menus using organic produce grown in the resort’s gardens.
“The exciting thing about this project is that it gives us an opportunity to define, refine, innovate and create the ideal destination holistic and medical spa that redefines how we live today,” said AHMS’s founder and owner, Anchalika Kijkanakorn. “There will be a featured meditation cave, walking meditation practice, and a venerable guru of meditation will be invited to teach on week-long learning.”
“Guests will be given all the tools in the organic arsenal, the finest technology will be deployed, and we will have the absolute state of the art in terms of weight loss, weight control and reaching your body’s desired equilibrium,” she added.
Akaryn Koh Krabeay Retreat & Spa will become the group’s fourth property, following resorts in Koh Samui, Phuket and Hua Hin.
