Freight forwarder Damco has further expanded into Cambodia.
Damco opened a second container freight station warehouse facility in
the country to support its customers’ growth in this emerging market.
The first warehouse began operations in August 2011. Both facilities
offer a total combined space of more than 16,000 square meters with more
than 40 loading bays.
The new warehouse will provide inventory management, order processing and bar coding.
“Here in Cambodia, the strong support from the government and local
authorities gives us the confidence that this market will continue to
develop positively and will be one of the most competitive markets in
the region for many years to come,” Andy Lim, country manager of Damco
Cambodia, said.
Global customers are increasingly looking to Cambodia as a key market
for sourcing manufacturing, particularly in the garment sector.
