Meanwhile rare and critically endangered fresh water Mekong dolphins are also losing the fight for survival in Kratie, Cambodia. During the war in the seventies the Khmer Rouge and Vietcongs killed this migrating species in their hundreds by means of bullets and hand grenades, using the fat of the animals to grease their guns and artillery.
