Taiwan's E.Sun Financial to Buy 70% of Cambodian Bank

The banking unit of E.Sun Financial Holding Co. (2884.TW) is buying a 70% stake in Cambodia's Union Commercial Bank PLC. for $69.33 million, the Taiwanese lender said Friday.
The acquisition is subject to approval by authorities from Taiwan as well as Cambodia, E.Sun Financial said in a statement.
Phnom Penh-based Union Commercial Bank has five branches, with total assets of $330 million, the Taiwanese lender said.
