PHNOM PENH, 7 March 2013 (The Cambodia Herald) -- Prime Minister Hun Sen said
Thursday, while speaking at graduation ceremony for the Royal University
of Administration, that officials are not the boss of its people.
"We do not control our citizens we are their servants and provide them with our services."
Now the government has issued price tables for all ministries and other institutions to abide by.
If the table reads 1,000 riel, the officials must ask for only 1,000 riel, Hun Sen said.
"Officials have to ask for the payment that is set on the table which includes citizen's birth certificates, marriage certificates and death certificates."
The Ministry of Economy, Finance and Anti-Corruption Unit had set up the price table for public services and it was announced early February.
