Cambodian actress denies lesbian rumors

PHNOM PENH - Budding actress Preung Pichan Molika, known as Kaka, has rejected rumours that she's a lesbian.
"The rumour that I'm a homosexual isn't true," she told the latest issue of Angkor Thom magazine.
"I think people get confused because I always talk and go out with girls, but they're just my friends," she said. "My parents are very strict, they allow me to have only friends that are girls."
"Sometimes I hear this while I'm sitting with my friends," she said. "They even dare to personally come and ask me.
"But after I tell them the truth they feel bad."
The actress says she is one hundred per cent female. "I'm a woman, I've never felt that way towards other women," she said. "The girls I hang out with are all my friends."
"I'm not happy with this rumour. Only a few people know how sad I feel inside. But if I don't go public it could damage my reputation," she said.
Kaka started her career as an actress in 2010 when she was chosen as one of the top four Bridgestone Girls on TV9.
