PHNOM PENH, 23 January 2013 (The Cambodia Herald) - Authorities have ordered Sovann
Angkor Radio in Siem Reap to stop broadcasting a program of the
opposition League for Democracy Party, the party's president said
Wednesday.
Khem Veasna, a former Sam Rainsy Party lawmaker, said the Ministry of Information had told the owner to stop renting out airtime to political parties.
He questioned why the broadcast was allowed by the Ministry of Interior and not the Ministry of Information. He noted that the program "Our Dream" was also being aired by another station.
Khem Veasna said his program had also been blacklisted by the Angkor Ratha, Mongkol Sovann and Moha Nokor radio stations.
