CAMBODIA -- As much as I
hated to leave the home away from home that was Koh Chang, Thailand, I finally made it to Cambodia.
The transport was long, hot and exhausting -- about 11 hours -- but as we walked over the border
bridge, I did not even care.
I'm in Cambodia.
As I write, I'm still trying to wrap
my head around it.
First impressions:
I'll be honest. I was a little
shell-shocked when we first arrived to Siem Reap.
Since it was dark, I lost
some of my confidence in traveling alone. Also, I had gotten so used to the simple island life,
the jolt back to reality was hitting me.
