PHNOM PENH, 16 January 2013 (The Cambodia Herald) - At least 20 members of Royal family
have decided to shave their heads for the procession and cremation
ceremony of the late King Father Norodom Sihanouk on February 1 and 4,
said Prince Sisowath Thomico (pictured), personal secretary of late King Father
Norodom Sihanouk.
“Now, we have 20 members of royal family including king Father’s sons, grandson, and Prince Norodom Ranariddh. The shaving ceremony will be held on January 31 a day ahead of the procession ceremony,” he added.
“We are shaving head to pay tribute and to express thankful attitude toward his kindness”.
80 princes and princesses were registered as royal family members. They come from Norodom or Sisowath families.
