Soung Sophorn criticized the National Election Committee for having a complicated voter registration system.
He also complained about voters being registered in the wet season and that most of the nine NEC members were former members of the ruling Cambodian People’s Party.
The nine members were elected earlier this month by an extraordinary session of the National Assembly that was boycotted by the opposition.
Tep Nitha, the NEC secretary general, told a news conference Thursday that the youth movement had the freedom to protest in accordance with the law.

That's a discouraging picture to show for an upcoming protest. It's going to be more blood shed and harm done to the opposition youth than really achieving anything.
The youths should just save all their energy to campaign for the upcomming election instead trying to confront theg overnment which are not hesitant to abuse and kill their spirits and ambitions.
