Cambodian rights groups criticise killer's sentence

Rights groups have criticised a Cambodian court decision to sentence a convicted killer to six months prison, while a radio station owner is behind bars for 20 years on a charge many say was trumped up.
The recent decision goes back to the killing in April of environmental activist Chut Vutty. The military police officer were is said to have shot Chut Vutty was then shot by a security guard - and that guard is the one who was given a two years, with 18 months suspended sentence, meaning he may walk free within weeks.
By contrast, Beehive radio owner Mam Sonando was sentenced to 20 years prison for broadcasting a story about a land dispute that the court said amounted to incitement.
