PHNOM PENH, 18th September 2012 (Cambodia Herald) - Malaysia's King Abdul Halim has presented an award to a Cambodian student who graduated from a local university with a sharia degree with first-class honors.
National news agency Bernama said 23-year-old Li Basri from Phnom Penh received the Jaizah Imtiyaz Sultanah Bahiya award at Insaniah University College in Alor Setar on Monday.
Li Basri reportedly thanked his family in Cambodia and his foster family in Malaysia. "They really inspired me to study and I'm very happy to have given both my families this achievement," he was quoted as saying.
The report said the Cambodian was now aiming to do a PhD and become a lecturer.

Sharia? Don't indocinate Khmer childrents with Muslim Sharia's laws.This is Sharia the same as Sharia's laws? A Muslim laws that kills all infidel if you're not convert to Muslim.
