Speaking on his return from China with Prime Minister Hun Sen, Aun Porn Moniroth said Cambodia had asked the Chinese side to select a province apart from Sihanoukville and carry out an environmental assessment.
He said China had also announced grant aid worth 150 million yuan ($20 million) for developing infrastructure.
Hun Sen was quoted as saying that China is continuing to discuss South China Sea issues with ASEAN members and wants to solve conflicts peacefully.
The secretary of state said China promised to support Cambodia as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council and also vowed to boost investment in Cambodia, especially in rice mills.

លោក អូន ព័ន្ធមុនីរ័ត្ន បានលើកឡើងថា "ក្រុមហ៊ុន ឌីឡុង គ្រុប ដែលគ្រោងបង្កើតនៅក្នុងប្រទេសកម្ពុជានោះ មានសមត្ថភាពផលិតដែក បានរហូតប្រមាណ ៣លានតោន ក្នុងមួយឆ្នាំ រួមជាមួយនឹងសកម្មភាពផ្សេងៗទៀត ដូចជា បង្កើតសួនឧស្សាហកម្ម មានផ្នែកសេវាសម្រួល ផ្នែករោងចក្រ
ផលិតថាមពលអគ្គិសនី រោងចក្រគីមី រោងចក្រផលិតនិងកែច្នៃដែកថែប កំពង់ផែសមុទ្រ និងមជ្ឈមណ្ឌលបណ្តុះបណ្តាលធនធានមនុស្ស ជាដើម"។
លោក អូន ព័ន្ធមុនីរត្ន បានមានប្រសាសន៍បញ្ជាក់ទៀតថា ទំហំនៃដើមទុនវិនិយោគរោងចក្រផលិតដែក នៅកម្ពុជានេះ គឺមានទឹកប្រាក់ប្រមាណ ២០០០ លានដុល្លារអាមេរិកហើយអាចបង្កើតការងារជូនប្រជាពលរដ្ឋកម្ពុជាធ្វើបានប្រមាណចំនួន ១០.០០០ នាក់។
លោក អូន ពន្ធ័មុនីរត្ន បានបញ្ជាក់ទៀតថា សម្តេចតេជោនាយករដ្ឋមន្ត្រីនៃប្រទេសកម្ពុជា បានស្វាគមន៍ ចំពោះគំរោងការវិនិយោគដ៍ធំមួយនេះ។ ប៉ុន្តែទន្ទឹមនឹងនោះ សម្តេចតេជោនាយករដ្ឋមន្ត្រី ក៏បានផ្តល់ការណែនាំ តម្រង់ទិសដល់ក្រុមហ៊ុនផងដែរ ជាពិសេសសម្តេចបានស្នើឲ្យក្រុមហ៊ុន យកចិត្តទុកដាក់ ចំពោះបញ្ហបរិស្ថានពីព្រោះគំរោងនេះ ជាគំរោងដែលមានលក្ខណៈឧស្សាហកម្មធ្ងន់ ខ្នាតធំ ហើយមានលក្ខណៈមានលក្ខណៈរសើបខាងបរិស្ថាន ពីព្រោះជាគំរោងស្លដែក ដែលត្រូវការនាំចូលរ៉ែ និងថាមពល ដើម្បីរំលាយដែក និងមានការរៀបចំ ជារោងចក្រ ដើម្បីប្រើប្រាស់ដល់ការស្លដែក។

As long as it don't destroy forest around it. If not build right or handle correctly can be devastating to the surrounding environment. Its good to noted that PRC and others nations helped Cambodia a lot. China always Cambodia true friend through good and bad times. When Youn invaded Kampuchea in late 70's there were some 15,000 Chinese military advisers with KR. Most of these Chinese friends had never return home. They were KIA with KR troops. Yes, KR was bad to our nation but the Chinese stayed with us to the end and still helping us.
Nicely said. It will be a grave mistakes if any next Khmer leaders were to separate us from china when we were friends since before funan days which is before angkorian days. This is the time we make it even stronger. Yes we might have India culture but India never show any military support like china did. I think without china we have no strong foundation to fight the enemies. And plus we are china neighbor which if we are it's enemy china is not going to let his neighbor go rogue against it.
Good that we make friends with every country, but it is worth noting that China supported the KR to kill nearly 2 million Khmers. Also, at the moment, China did help Cambodia but on loans- about $6-8 billion at the moment. Even roads, dam, power plant constructions are done on loans from China- they are not gifts. Hun Sen borrowed from China irresponsibly, so it will your and my children, grandchildren and great grandchildren who will work their butts off to pay off Hun Se's debt to China.
China also forgive billions unlike USA.

11:45 AM, Cambodia owed America only $450 million and the debt has not been resolved yet. The reason America did not forgive the debt is because of Hun Sen. After Hun Sen is gone and a democratic government takes power in Cambodia, I'm sure America will forgive this debt.
Cambodia owed China between $7-8 billion. A year a go, Hun Sen asked China to forgive $200 million and China said no. At that time China only forgave $2 million, not $200 million.
