PHNOM PENH, 29 August 2012 (Cambodia Herald) - The Khmer Rouge tribunal said Wednesday
it had received $1.46 million from Australia for the international side
of the UN-backed Extraordinary Chambers in the Courts of Cambodia.
The contribution, announced by Australian Foreign Minister Bob Carr during a visit in July, boosts Australia's total contribution to $19.71 million, a statement said.
In March, the tribunal said it needed $89.6 million for 2012 and 2013 including $69.6 million for the international side.
