PHNOM PENH, 28 August 2012 (Cambodia Herald) - Cambodia plans to apply international law
on intellectual property to protect the Angkor temples, Ministry of
Commerce Secretary of State Dith Tina said Tuesday.
Dith Tina told a news conference in Siem Reap that Cambodia would sign a treaty with the World Intellectual Property Organization, whose head is currently visiting Cambodia.
He said any replicas of the Angkor temples would adversely affect Cambodia's economy and culture.
