"The king will also meet some Chinese officials during his stay in China," said the prince, an assistant to King Father Norodom Sihanouk.
Even though it is not an official visit, the prince said Chinese officials would be be given royal audiences during the king's stay in China.
A source said the king would leave for Beijing on Sunday and was expected to return to Cambodia on August 7.
